A practice uniquely designed for pregnancy, prenatal yoga supports moms-to-be emotionally and physically. A multifaceted approach to exercise, prenatal yoga encourages stretching, mental centering and focused breathing. Research suggests that prenatal yoga can have many benefits for pregnant women and their babies such as: improving sleep; reducing stress and anxiety; increasing the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth; and decreasing lower back pain, nausea, headaches and shortness of breath. Prenatal yoga can also help you meet and bond with other pregnant women and prepare for the stress of being a new parent.
Mommy & Me Yoga
Come explore movement, yoga and fitness with your little ones in a fun and creative way. This class is a great way for mommies to get healthy while bonding with their babes. The first half of the class is a high energy workout that is stimulating for the kiddos with fun songs and dance. Then we bring the energy down with a Mama Yoga Flow. Classes will follow a general framework, but will evolve and change to keep things fun and stimulating for both the mothers and children in the class. Recommended age for children is infant to 4 years.
